Summer 2013 Activities For Young and Old

Free events available everyday:

• Play the Egyptian board game Senet

• Practice writing Egyptian hieroglyphs

• Handle real Egyptian artefacts

• Stereoscope adventurers (view 3D Egypt in the 1920 using 2D images!)

• Try your hand at mummifying our dummy mummy

• Dress-up as ancient Egyptians (available 30th July to 31st August)

• Animal bags -guess what animal lurks in the bag

• Pyramid Puzzles – mathematical challenge

• Audio Guides

• ‘River Nile’ Art Competion (Entry is free but pick up a form from the shop)

• Trails (from 50p)

Special Events

• 2 day workshops. More information here.

• Saturday 3rd August. Family Craft Day. 10am-3pm hour long drop in sessions throughout the day (includes making  jewellery  papyrus bookmark  and coffin pencil cases). Costs 50p-£1 depending on session.

• Saturday 24th August Family Fun Day. 10am-3pm. Please come along to our fun filled day, there will be raffles, book sales, bric a brac stalls as well as fun games like ‘Hook a Shabti’ and ‘Find the Tomb in the Valley of the Kings’ . All proceeds will go towards our Volunteer Programme.
