Join us for our monthly Curator’s Talks where our Curator will discuss a topic and lead a handling session, giving you a chance to hold ancient Egyptian artefacts, some of which are usually kept in our stores!

The Egypt Centre holds a series of 10 week courses every year on many different themes. These are taught by Dr Ken Griffin, Curator and former Lecturer at Swansea University. These courses give you the chance to study a topic in depth. Each session includes a handling session which gives you a chance to hold and study our objects up close.
Length of course: 10 x 2 hour sessions

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Egypt Centre’s Annual Conference went digital, with speakers kindly agreeing to give their presentations via Zoom.
The Egypt Centre hosts a range of events aimed at adults which range from talks, wine tastings to movie nights.

The Egypt Centre offers an outreach service which caters to adult learners. We are happy to work with groups to meet your needs. We have given talks to a number of groups including the WI, U3A, local societies and church groups.
Price for talks: £25
The Egypt Centre offers group visits facilitated by the Museum. This can include a tour, talks and object handling.
