Enhance your Health and Wellbeing Area of Learning and Experience with a visit to the Egypt Centre.

We are delighted to be offering half-day session focused on enhancing wellbeing and developing skills that learners can use outside of the museum in their everyday life.

These sessions were developed in partnership with teachers with the new Curriculum for Wales it its heart. They are an excellent way to enhance your class’ wellbeing work or a brilliant way to introduce your class to the topic in a new and exciting way.

What does a Wellbeing Session include?

Mindfulness Session – Take time to slow down with a special mindfulness

session based on an ancient Egyptian object. We will use slow looking

techniques to focus on an ancient Egyptian Ba Bird and slow our bodies and

 minds down.

Wellbeing Trail – Explore our galleries in a new way using our Wellbeing Trail. The trail is based on the Five Ways to Wellbeing (used by the NHS and Mind) and enables you to explore the Museum while giving your wellbeing a boost.

Craft Activity – Creativity is a brilliant way to boost your wellbeing. We will take some time to be creative and make a falcon finger puppet to take home with you.

“Our children really enjoyed and came away from the sessions happy and enthused. Thank you!” – Swansea Primary School Teacher

Maximum Capacity: 40 children

Cost: £3 per child
