Abstract

The Egypt Centre holds in its collections three very interesting fragments of model scribal palettes, all of which are inscribed with hieroglyphic texts. One of these has the only known depiction of King Djehuty-em-hat (Thoth-em-hat), a local ruler of Hermopolis (al-Ashmunayn), who flourished during the late Third Intermediate Period and who was probably from a branch of Dynasty 23.
