EC162

Wooden object three pieces with short handle. Such instruments have been found belonging to the Roman period at sites such as Karanis. While the short handle on this instrument suggests that it might have been used by a child, others have long handles. Terry Wilfong suggested these might have been used for domestic worship (British Museum Colloquium 12th July 2002). 11.5cm long.
