Travertine bowl with pink bands of colour, 26cm in diameter with rolled rim. As you can see the stone was carefully chosen and worked so that there is a red border around the rim of the bowl and in the centre. The shape of the vessel shows it dates from the Early Dynastic to Old Kingdom, Dynasty 1-4. It was purchased by Wellcome in 1922.
