Stone sculptured boy with bird, painted face. 21.8cm high. Late Period-Graeco Roman. For other depictions of boys with birds see Ridgway (2006). It is possible that the bird held by the boy is actually a toy, representing innocence (see EC25 for a possible toy bird).
