Offerings to the gods

Ideologically, only the king could give offerings to the gods, however, in reality priests could do this for him and in many instances the common people also gave votive offerings.

In the Egypt Centre we have a door of a shrine showing a king offering. We also have votive offerings given by the general populace.

Liquid offerings could be given using ritual vessels such as hes-vases or situlae. Incense and music were also given as offerings.
