Textile medallion in the shape of a leaf. A very similar leaf shaped piece of probably the 4th millennium is illustrated in Lewis 1969 p. 27, pl.18.  

The fine network of threads skipping over several warps is called ‘flying thread/shuttle technique’ and was thought by Petrie to represent embroidery. Often the work is so fine that they may have been woven in by fingers (Erikson 1997, pp. 79-82).
