EC7

Late Middle Kingdom-Second Intermediate Period (1650-1550 BC) funerary stela of the dignatory Ibi-ia. This shows Ibi-ia seated at an offering table. His wife stands behind him, and in front of him is his brother, also called Ibi-ia who is in charge of the funerary ceremonies. In the lower register are other members of the family. One of them is his sister, a ‘king’s ornament’, 38 x 30cm. Assumed to be from Esna on stylistic grounds.

This published by Donohue (2009).
